A New Benefit through AsmaraHR
AFLAC, No insurance is complete without it!

AsmaraHR would like to introduce you to a new benefit for your employees. After examining our voluntary benefits package with the goal of improving benefits, we have selected AFLAC to provide supplemental benefits to your employees. We believe that Aflac offers consistent high quality service and many of the voluntary benefits employees desire.

Aflac (American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus) is a leading provider of insurance sold on a voluntary basis at the worksite in the United States. A Fortune 500 Company, Aflac is a leading writer of voluntary insurance coverage marketed at the worksite in the United States, offering policies to employees at more than 300,000 payroll accounts, insuring more than 40 million people worldwide. Fortune magazine named Aflac to its list of "The 100 Best Companies to Work for in America" for the sixth consecutive year in January 2004 and to its list of "America's Most Admired Companies" in the life and health insurance industry in March 2004.

At Aflac, our insurance policies help supplement primary health plans by providing direct-to-the-policyholder cash benefits, unless the insured chooses otherwise, to help fill gaps in traditional health insurance coverage, such as deductibles, out-of-pocket expenses and loss of earning power, among others. In 1958 we introduced one of the world's first cancer expense insurance policies. Today we have expanded our insurance coverage to include accident/disability, cancer, short-term disability, hospital intensive care, hospital confinement indemnity, long-term care, specified health event, life, and dental.

Please note that laws in your state of residence will determine benefit offerings. Not all policies or benefits are available in all states.

Aflac's policies include:
Accident/Disability
Cancer
Dental
Hospital Intensive Care
Hospital Confinement Indemnity
Hospital Confinement Sickness Indemnity
Life
Long-Term Care
Short-Term Disability
Specified Health Event

Through our FLEX ONE plan, you can pay for some of your benefits with pre-tax dollars.

Why You Need Aflac Insurance:

Your employer may provide you with medical insurance benefits, but these benefits will not cover such costs as deductibles, loss of earning power and other out-of-pocket expenses associated with an illness or accident. At Aflac, our policies pay cash benefits directly to you, unless you choose otherwise. These cash benefits can be used to help fill the gaps in your primary health care plan. With our insurance policies, you choose the types of coverage you want and pay for them through the convenience of payroll deduction. And because your premiums can be paid on a pre-tax basis, you may save tax dollars or even be able to add benefits without affecting your take-home pay. Moreover, all of our policies pay benefits regardless of any other insurance you may have.

  • On average, every 45 seconds, someone in the United States has a stroke. Each year, about 700,000 people experience a new or recurrent stroke. Between 50% and 70% of stroke survivors regain functional independence.4

What Aflac policy holders are saying:

"Aflac’s insurance coverage, which I only half paid attention to when signing up, is phenomenal. It’s all independent and separate from your regular medical insurance coverage. It lets you do things that would be difficult or not possible without it. You can continue your life style without worry about your regular medical insurance shortfalls and other expenditures you don’t think about when you are healthy."
Gary D. Woods

"Recently, I was in a very bad car accident and had severe injuries. When I got out of the hospital, I was all out of money for bills and even more upset. I forgot about my Aflac Accident Insurance Policy because I never thought I’d need it, but now that I do, I’m very happy to have the Aflac Accident Insurance Policy. I was actually very surprised with the amount of policy benefits I did receive. Thank you for your great service and helping me through such a terrible time."
